Square has been selling their PSOne classics online; who knew

February 22nd, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

BeefJack writes: "What? All the classic PSOne Square Enix games up up for sale on Square’s website? Am I the only one who didn’t know about this? It’s possible, but I’m sure there are those who’ve been looking through used games bin after used games bin searching for a copy of Chrono Cross or Final Fantasy Chronicles.

It just seems so obscure to me that PSOne games are still being sold new. I would have never thought to check out a developer’s website. "

XboxEvolved:

"Dante’s Inferno is simply a great game. Yeah, it borrows quite a bit from other games, and mainly one in particular, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. That aside, it’s a freaking blast to play. "

GamingUnion. net: S. T. A. L. K. E. R. : Call of Pripyat Review

February 21st, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

GamingUnion. net: "Despite the improvements that have been made to this iteration of S. T. A. L. K. E. R. , it still doesn’t really do much to make it a hugely compelling experience. There is a lovely sense of atmosphere and exploration, but it’s slightly marred by dated presentation, which really hampers the story – something that’s already on the weak side. There is a multplayer component and there are numerous endings to enjoy though, so it’s a game that could soak up some time if people are willing to slog through the boring initial story to get to the good stuff. 5 Modern Love Letters to Classic Games

February 21st, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

John Carson of TheGameReviews writes: "Is it wrong to mimic elements of another game but slap a brand new name on them? What if it helps a game stands out, if it makes a game special? Many developers play copycat to cash in on what they know the public will relate to, while others use heavy homage to show their love for the classics. In this past year in particular, we’ve seen the latter done to high standards. In a month celebrated with candy hearts and bunches of flowers, TGR celebrates our love of classic games by paying tribute to those who best honor them. In no particular order, here are five modern love letters to classic games. "

TVG writes: When Alan Wake launches on May 21st (hopefully), it’ll be nearly five years since it was first announced at E3 2005. One thing we hadn’t previously noticed over this time, though, is quite how much Alan’s image has changed during the game’s tumultuous development cycle.

February 21st, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (& Knuckles) are pretty much held up as the best 2D Sonic game ever, which may read that as just "best Sonic game ever" but that’s beside the point.
