GamingUnion. net: Splinter Cell: Conviction Review

April 17th, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

GamingUnion. net: "Splinter Cell: Conviction makes a successful return to the stealth-action genre with some extremely well implemented gameplay mechanics. However, the length of the single player campaign is a real sore point, and while there is a co-operative story it’s not enough of a substitute. Having said that, being able to perform stealth missions with a friend or someone random on Xbox Live is certainly a welcome addition to the franchise and with all things considered, Splinter Cell: Conviction is definitely worth checking out. Sony Will Win The Marathon

April 17th, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

James Joell-Ireland from wedotech. net writes "If we were to jump back to 2006 and discuss the system life cycles of that of the Playstation 3, Wii & Xbox 360, I am very sure many of us wouldn’t be stating that either company were going to hang around in the marketplace with the same system, ten years on. Jump forward to November 2008 and the world’s economical outlook took a massive plunge and since then Sony’s 10 year support ethos has thrown them into a leading position in the marketplace. Sony have been running a marathon and it looks as though they have been conserving their energy for 2011. Conserving their energy is a great analogy as Nintendo are now starting to prove that love for their console is dwindling and with failed market launches such as the Wii Motion Plus, it appears that the Wii is becoming yet again a dumping ground for shovel ware and half-assed titles. With Nintendo running out of breath after leading the race after 800 metres, it’s now became a two man race for gold. "

GamingUnion. net: Alan Wake Preview

April 17th, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

GamingUnion. net: "Flashlights are a common household item, and common enough in video games with roughly 114 titles featuring them. The first game to have a flashlight was Maniac Mansion which was released by LucasFilm Games in 1987. Typically flashlight uses in video games are limited to practicality, or are used for an aesthetic value that creates a sense of foreboding and anxiety when playing a survival horror game. While these random facts may seem irrelevant, it’s actually shocking that it took twenty three years for a creative team to decide to turn a flashlight into a metaphorical bastion of good that incinerates darkness with its cleansing light. Apparently good things come in time. After six years of development Remedy Entertainment’s Xbox 360 exclusive, Alan Wake, brings the ultimate flashlight to the table, introducing ‘light play’ in this action adventure thriller. Will focusing a new gameplay mechanic on a flashlight, one of the most mundane and undervalued items, prove to be more than a shot in the dark?"

Rhianna Pratchett chats to Critical Gamer

April 16th, 2010 admin Posted in juegos No Comments »

Critical Gamer writes: Thrilled to finally win an audience with Rhianna Pratchett, we were slightly surprised to find her writing den overrun by small goblin – like creatures. Most of them were scribbling manically on dried kitten skin, while Rhianna cackled with glee from within her oversized helmet.

It seems that the Overlord games are sort of interactive documentaries.
