Dark Knight Massacre Turns Into Dark Knight Lawsuit
We can’t believe it’s already been two months since the chilling massacre that wreaked havoc on Aurora, Colorado and the nation. 58 were wounded and 12 were killed during the shooting spree that took place in a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises. And on Friday, three of the surviving 58 sued Cinemark USA for failing to provide proper security in the movie theater. According to them: “Readily available security procedures, security equipment and security personnel would likely have prevented or deterred the gunman from accomplishing his planned assault on the theater’s patrons. ” And not only that, but they also claim the movie theater employees failed to help the victims out of the theater. We’re actually surprised more aren’t suing, but we bet it’s only a matter of time before they do. Our thoughts are with them all. . . [Image via AP Images. ]

Basically everyone that works at the movie theaters near my house are a bunch of kids. Are they really expected to save the day when something like this happens? You can’t really blame them for not helping. And really it’s uncool to point the blame slightly at them. They are probably scarred just as much as the customers and now they are getting told the are partly to blame. I mean really, there’s no protocol for crazed mad man with high powered guns and armor.
Also, a couple of security cameras wouldn’t have stopped anything. Sure the door could have had an alarm but if he wanted to shoot up a theater he would have found away. This was planned with detail. It’s not like security checks your bags at the door, he could have easily snuck weapons in with a backpack. Unless movie theaters have TSA type security there are ways to sneak guns in. There’s only so much security a movie theater can offer before it’s a police state.

How crass. Sorry but no cinema can protect against something like this. Its extraordinary and couldve happened in any public place. But no surprise some are trying to cash in. Its the American way sadly.
Cinemas cannot save you from madmen with guns. Get real.

Okay, so you are miffed more people aren’t filing suit? Really, so maybe IKEA or Red Lobster should have armed guards at the doors? No, you are wrong, and stupid, this is the unfortunate act of a crazy individual. Those suits are for money, and while I feel 100% awful for those people, you cannot expect 15 year old kids working there to pack heat or even 1 security guard to save that group. Cops won’t even approach certain circumstances. Colorado native.
