Oprah Drops 10 Spots On Most Powerful List
Say it ain’t so, Oprah! So the Fortune list for the top 50 most powerful women is now up, and unfortunately Oprah has dropped 10 spots to number 16. Here are the criteria to make it:The Most Powerful Women in Business list is compiled by FORTUNE editors, who consider four criteria: the size and importance of the woman?s business in the global economy, the health and direction of the business, the arc of the woman?s career (resume and runway ahead), and societal and cultural influence. We’re guessing leaving her show and the OWN network struggle are to blame. But we still feel Oprah is just as fierce and powerful as before! Here is the new Top Ten List:#1 – Irene Rosenfeld, Chairman and CEO, Kraft Foods; #2 – Indra Nooyi, Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo; #3 – Pat Woertz, Chairman, CEO and President, Archer Daniels Midland; #4 – Ellen Kullman, Chairman and CEO, Dupont; #5 – Angela Braly, Chairman, President and CEO, Wellpoint; #6 – Andrea Jung, Chairman and CEO, Avon Products; #7 – Ginni Rometty, SVP, Group Executive, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy, IBM; #8 – Ursula Burns, Chairman and CEO, Xerox; #9 ? Meg Whitman, President and CEO, Hewlett-Packard and #10 ? Sherilyn McCoy, Vice Chairman, Executive Committee, Office of the Chairman, Johnson & Johnson. Congrats to those who made it![Image via WENN. ]
