Jennifer Lopez’s Musical Transition
Just shortly after the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez and label, Sony’s Epic Records, have parted ways.
The singer’s manager, Benny Medina, said, “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist, she is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together. ”
J. Lo’s seventh studio album was supposed to come out in April, but reports have claimed that it is not done yet and may never be completed.
While many wonder why the split to her long time label, some suggest Sony let Lopez go because creativity was gone or that her contract was expired, but it is still not the end of her.
The singer will appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend as a host and musical guest.
