++ The Foreign Affairs Secretariat said that Mexican citizen Carlos Peralta Valle survived the 7-Richter-point earthquake that devastated Haiti… His immediate repatriation will be sought. ++ Another group of repatriated Mexicans and Haitians from Haiti arrived in Mexico… The group was composed of two Mexican citizens, three Haitians and a Guatemalan citizen. ++ The Foreign Affairs Secretariat said that the first contingent of Mexican rescue forces sent to Haiti on January 14 returned to Mexico after completing its search and rescue tasks in Port-au-Prince. ++ Querétaro governor José Calzada announced that he will pressure the Foreign Affairs Secretariat to find and send home the remains of the Mexican citizen killed in Haiti in the earthquake, Karen Valero Jaques. ++ The President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández, predicted that Haiti will need a 10-billion-dollar international aid program over five years to move forward in reconstruction and strengthening its institutions. ++ U.
