Marie weakens further off coast of Mexico (The Charlotte Observer)
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Marie continues to weaken far off Mexico’s Pacific coast. The center says Marie has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph (75 kph). At 5 a.m., the storm was essentially stationary, centered about 830 miles (1,335 kilometers) off the southern tip of Baja California. Marie was the sixth hurricane of the eastern Pacific season.
