CHICAGO — Mexico captain Pavel Pardo spared El Tri the ultimate embarrassment. After the squandering numerous chances against little Guadeloupe — so teeny, it’s not even its own country — Pardo scored on a curling shot from 30 yards in the second half to give Mexico a 1-0 win Thursday night and a spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final.
