Casey Anthony Emerges at Bankruptcy Hearing

After being acquitted of murdering her child in 2011, Casey Anthony made her first public appearance in federal court on Monday (March 4). Emerging to testify in her bankruptcy case, the 26-year-old told the court, “I don?t pay rent. I don?t pay utilities. I live off the kindness of those I?m living with. I try to contribute when I can. “The controversial petitioner listed assets of $1,084 and debts of $792,119. 23, of which $500,000 is owed to a former lawyer. Though she may have been spared from a murder rap, Casey was convicted of four misdemeanor counts of lying to investigators about the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee. Ms. Anthony was released just under two weeks after the conviction.
