Robert De Niro Honored with Cement Prints in Hollywood
It seems long overdue, but Robert De Niro was finally immortalized via hand and footprints in front of the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Monday (February 4). The “Godfather Part II” actor wore a black blazer and charcoal trousers as he was praised by “Silver Linings Playbook” director David O. Russell and colleague Billy Crystal. Joking with the crowd, the 69-year-old screen legend said, “You know, Joe Pesci always said I’d end up with my feet in cement. I don’t think this is what he had in mind. “Though his career has already made him well-known for films like “Taxi Driver,” “Raging Bull,” and “Goodfellas,” the honor comes right after Mr. De Niro’s most recent Oscar nomination for his supporting role in “Silver Linings Playbook. ”
