Fat Joe Gets Pinched by Uncle Sam for Tax Evasion
He?s not the first celebrity to ditch out on paying taxes, but Fat Joe’s transgressions may land him in the slammer for up to two years. According to a report, the ?Pride and Joy? rapper showed up in a Newark, New Jersey federal court yesterday and entered a guilty plea yesterday on charges of failing to pony up $700,000 during the years of 2007 and 2008. US Magistrate Cathy Waldor asked Joe if he understood what he was admitting to and he fired back, ?I super understand it. ?Fat Joe is currently walking free on a $250,000 bond, and he?s hoping to get things squared away as soon as possible in order to bring a good report to his sentencing hearing on April 3rd.
