Steel Magnolias Lawsuit Thrown Out Right Before Lifetime Premiere!

Phew! That was a close one, wasn’t it?Victoria White, a producer of the 1989 classic Steel Magnolias, was apparently so upset about the Queen Latifah-starring remake premiering on Lifetime that she filed suit earlier this week claiming that because she was never notified about the new production, the network was in breach of contract! However, despite her demands to cancel the airing, give her screen credit and a portion of its net profits, an El Lay judge threw out the request Friday morning. . . meaning the flick is good to go!Wow!Very curious as to what caused her case to be dismissed, though! She must not have had as much legal standing as she thought!Oh well! We’re just happy that this movie has the chance to make its debut as was originally planned!Fingers crossed it will be just as powerful and touching as the original! What do U think?? Are U/Will U be watching??

  1. Victoria has nothing to worry about because this remake was such a travisty. Some movies should be left alone and this was one of them.

  2. I thought the movie was cute. I liked it. Now I’m waiting to see how Lindsay does. Good luck boo. Team Lohan!
