Hitting the streets for some afternoon fun, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were spotted together in New York City on Wednesday (September 26). The 33-year-old actress donned a lovely poncho with white jeans as she walked side-by-side with her mini-me. In regards to the six-year-old?s famous daddy, Tom Cruise?s close friend is denying rumors that he is upset over Suri?s newfound religious beliefs. Rumors sparked after the devout Scientologist significant absence from Suri. Tom?s friend insists that it?s simply a result of the actor?s schedule adding, ?This is something that?s been going on her whole life ? when Tom is shooting a film out of the country, he has to rely on the telephone. ?Meanwhile, screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie who works closely with Cruise insists that he is upset with the constant absence from Suri, adding, ?I can tell you that I haven?t had a meeting with Tom that was not interrupted by a phone call with his daughter. His heart is broken. He misses his little girl and works very hard at parenting. ?
