Susan Sarandon Breaks Down Over Nora Ephron’s Death
Winning the Lifetime Achievement award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival was bittersweet for Susan Sarandon. While she felt gracious for the honor, she broke down in tears when she received the trophy and decided to dedicate her award to the late Nora Ephron. Calling Nora her “friend and wonderful director,” Susan also praised the editors behind her moving video montage. She thought it chronicled her work beautifully, calling it “one of the best montages I’ve seen. “Helen Mirren also won the award, but she accepted hers earlier in the festival.
