AP – With the economy sputtering, Congress’ unusual difficulty in delivering disaster aid or even keeping the government from shutting down is a discouraging sign for action as a bitterly divided Washington looks ahead to critical debate on President Barack Obama’s jobs plan and efforts by a “supercommittee” to slash deficits.
