Back in September, we were less-than-enthusiastic to hear that Kate Beckinsale was returning for another Underworld film. We were surprised to see that she signed on for four part 4, especially after skipping out on #3, but oh well?A job is a job, we suppose. For better or worse, production has officially begun on New Moon Breaking Dawn Underworld 4: New Dawn. The 3D vampire/lycan-battle-flick is being shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, and features Beckinsale’s return as Selene “who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species. ?”Die hard Underworld fans can look forward to checking out part 4 in theaters on Jan 20, 2012. We’re thinking we’ll sit this one out, but we suppose it’s nice to see Kate doing another movie. Haven’t seen her on the big screen since 2009’s Everybody Fine. Will U check out Underworld 4: New Dawn? Or do U think we’ve seen enough Underworld flicks?[Image via WENN. ]

  1. I love the Underworld movies and I will def go see this in theatres!

  2. Really Kate? I thought the trilogy was fine but another Underworld movie? Hmm…oh and FYI she was in the third one, just a cameo but still…the movie was a prequel and happened before she was even born so she couldn’t be in it.

  3. Even in a joking cross out manner, comparing underworld to twilight is insulting to underworld. For one thing, Underworld was around first, and therefore can’t be a ripoff of twilight, and two, while not the best movies around, still far better than twilight. (And to anyone that is going to comment ‘you haven’t seen it so you can’t say its awful’, I did read the books and watch the movies to give them a fair chance because so many people liked them, and I have deemed those people insane)
