Mexico’s Calderon Takes Aim at Tax Evasion (NPR)
New tax legislation presented to Mexico’s congress by President Felipe Calderon is aimed at ending rampant tax evasion in the country. Calderon said Tuesday he hopes the increased revenue will aid in the fight against poverty in Mexico. It’s the first time in decades the country has attempted tax reform. Michael O’Boyle reports from Mexico City.
