Conrad Murray: Not Charged Yet
Though the Los Angeles District Attorney is looking to put the screws to Dr. Conrad Murray for his alleged involvement in the death of Michael Jackson, it won’t happen just yet.
According to a report, Murray won’t be surrendering to the authorities later today as was previously expected.
An inside source explained, “Contrary to previous reports, Conrad Murray will now not turn himself in on Friday as his lawyer had previously stated and charges will not be filed. ”
Murray’s lawman, Ed Chernoff, previously stated, “An arrest of Dr Murray would be a waste of money, time and resources. We’ve always made it clear: You tell us where; we’ll be there. I’m sure something can be arranged. ”
However, Brian Oxman, an attorney for the Jackson family, says the DA’s proposed charge of Involuntary Manslaughter is too weak for what Dr. Murray did. “I don’t think it would satisfy anybody, the millions of fans around the world. That is just a slap on the wrist and a slap in the face because Michael Jackson was someone who we knew was in danger of being brought to his knees, brought to his death by the use of this medications. ”
