++ Mexico City Attorney General Miguel Ángel Mancera said that the suspect in the case of football player Salvador Cabañas, who was shot in the head at a nightclub in Mexico City, has been identified as José Jorge Balderas Garza, alias “JJ”… He said authorities were working on a sketch of the man based on descriptions from eyewitnesses. ++ The Attorney General’s Office is working with the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office to search and find, through Interpol, the man who shot América team football player Salvador Cabañas. ++ The Federal District Comptroller’s Office is carrying out a review of Bar Bar’s files to see if the bar was properly fulfilling requisites as a nightclub. ++ The Federal District published a law in the Official Gazette creating the Federal District Administrative Institute that will be in charge of coordinating inspections of commercial establishments with borough offices. ++ Álvaro Obregón borough head Eduardo Santillán admitted that the Bar-Bar, site of a brutal attack on football player Salvador Cabañas, was being illegally run. ++ President Felipe Calderón requested that 143 PAN deputies become active lobbyists for his political reform bill. ++ By an eight-vote majority the Supreme Court ruled that companies did not demonstrate they have legal interest in the Business Single Rate Tax, or IETU, case. ++ The Communications and Transportation Secretariat published in the Official Gazette of the Federation a bidding process for dark fiber by the Federal Electricity Commission, that will be used for telecommunications and to provide Internet, telephone and television services.
