New Mexico, Sonora to join forces in commission (Silver City Sun-News)
SANTA FE — Gov. Bill Richardson signed legislation Monday to create the New Mexico-Sonora Commission, a bi-national panel that will work to establish a framework whereby both neighboring states can address cross-border issues of common interest such as trade, tourism, health and public safety, among others.
