Borgetti pads total with 43rd goal for Mexico (Houston Chronicle)
Veteran striker Jared Borgetti’s header in overtime gave Mexico a 1-0 victory over Costa Rica on Sunday at Reliant Stadium and a ticket to a Gold Cup semifinal against surprising Guadeloupe on Thursday night at Soldier Field in Chicago. It also gave Borgetti another goal to add to his tally as Mexico’s all-time leading scorer.
